Construction work to begin for additional filters

We will be installing planters, signs, and lines at two locations in Ferndale Low Traffic Neighbourhood (LTN). These changes aim to distribute traffic more evenly within the LTN and alleviate pressure on Ferndale Road.

Works will be carried out in the following locations:

  • Introduction of a new traffic filter on Ferndale Road between Ducie Street and Medwin Street
  • Introduction of a new traffic filter on Santley Street between Ducie Street and Concanon Road
  • The traffic filter currently on Concanon Road at the junction with Santley Street will be removed
  • These works will be carried out from 27th to the 29th of September 2023.

Your cooperation is essential, and we request that you do not park in the areas affected by the proposed works. The works may cause some disruption, but all efforts will be made to keep inconvenience to a minimum for the duration of the works.

Should you have any questions relating to the scheme objectives please contact lowtrafficneighbourhoods@lambeth.gov.uk.

Questions related to the Traffic Management and day works please contact Ringway on 0845 646 0059 - Lambeth.schemes@ringway.co.uk.

How will the changes impact my journey?

For those using active travel modes, such as walking, cycling, wheeling and scooting, the new filters will not impact your journeys within Ferndale LTN.

For those who wish to access the LTN by vehicle, access to the green zone will now be via Ferndale Road / Bedford Road. The purple zone has now reduced in size meaning that residents in the eastern end of the purple zone will now enter/exit via Acre Lane.
