Ferndale Low Traffic Neighbourhood Newsletter 28.06.21

This is an update from the Low Traffic Neighbourhood team at Lambeth Council.

Q&A Sessions:

We held our latest question and answer session for the Ferndale Low Traffic Neighbourhood on Tuesday 22 June 21 at 6pm. Thank you to everyone who attended and for all those who asked questions and provided feedback. Responding to feedback on the Q&As, we provided a brief presentation and opened up the floor to questions for a longer chunk of the session than previously. The presentation included updates on:

  • Issues that have arisen and the team’s actions
  • business engagement
  • equalities and exemptions
  • consultation and placemaking
  • We received over 50 questions and comments from residents during the hour session. You can watch the recording back and see the questions that were raised.

The recording from June and previous Q&A sessions have been made available to view on the Commonplace – Community meetings page.

    Reminder!

The next Ferndale LTN Q&A session will be held on Thursday 29 July 21, 18:00-19:00 , using Microsoft Teams.

    Hand Painting and Planting Party

"I'm having so much fun!" shouted a 3-year-old decorating the Pulross filters with his hand prints.

On the 11 June around 20 children (and some adults) got involved in the session getting creative and putting their stamp on the planters to cover up graffiti. Head down to planters outside Papas Park to check out their ‘handy’ work.

Father Nature are offering planting parties to local residents, organisations and schools/ nurseries to “adopt” a planter. Bulbs, seeds and refreshments will be provided for you and your community.

To host a planting party this summer, or know anyone who would like to decorate the planters get in touch by searching for ‘Father Nature’ on Instagram, Twitter or Facebook or Email: hello@fathernature.org.uk
